Privacy Policy
Puzzkey is an app that locks the apps you choose and asks you to solve a short puzzle before opening them. This policy explains what data the app uses and why. Short version: Puzzkey has no accounts and no servers of its own. Everything you set up stays on your device.
What stays on your device
Your locks, the apps and categories you pick, your schedules and your puzzle statistics are stored only on your phone. We cannot see them and they are deleted when you delete the app.
On iPhone, Puzzkey uses Apple's Screen Time framework (Family Controls). Apple never tells Puzzkey which apps you choose: the app only receives anonymous tokens that it can ask iOS to lock. This data does not leave your device.
On Android, Puzzkey uses an accessibility service only to detect which app comes to the foreground, so it can show you the puzzle when that app is locked. It does not read, record or transmit what is on your screen, what you type or any content from other apps. The list of installed apps is used only to let you pick which ones to lock, and it is never sent anywhere.
Purchases
Puzzkey Pro is sold as a subscription through the App Store or Google Play. Payments are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we never receive your card details. To know whether your subscription is active, the app uses RevenueCat, which receives an anonymous identifier generated by the app and the purchase receipt. It does not receive your name or email.
Crash reports
If the app crashes, it may send a technical error report through Sentry (device model, system version and the error). These reports do not include your locks, the apps you choose or any personal content, and we use them only to fix bugs.
What we do not do
Puzzkey shows no ads, does not track you across apps or websites, and does not sell or share personal data with anyone.
Children
Puzzkey is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from them.
Your rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export or delete: deleting the app removes everything. You can still write to us at support@puzzkey.com with any question about your privacy, and if you are in the EU you may also contact your data protection authority.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update this page and the date below.
